It was a privilege to contribute to the Belmont 16s Centenary Project alongside Graph Building and Alits Architecture, where our focus was on infusing the spaces with an ocean-inspired, modern, and luxurious ambiance.

CSS took charge of manufacturing and installing all internal staircase balustrades, as well as the handrails for the front entrance and rampway balustrades.

Front Entrance: Stainless Steel Handrails and New Rampway

For the front entrance and rampway, we opted for stainless steel handrails with a satin finish. The 38mm diameter tube provided a sleek and contemporary aesthetic, while continuous handrails and a kick rail facilitated accessible entry for all visitors.

Reception/Function Entrance Staircase

The reception and function entrance utilised brass elements and toughened glass. Stainless steel RHS 50mm x 25mm posts ensured durability, while the custom brass handrails and glass panels seamlessly integrated with the surrounding architecture.

Main Staircase

For the main staircase, we used a combination of brass and toughened glass. The 50mm brass diameter tube served as the main handrail, seamlessly flowing up both sides of the staircase. Complemented by custom 12mm toughened glass.

Martha Dine & Drink Staircase

For Martha Dine & Drink, we installed a 38mm brass diameter tube and custom toughened glass. Stainless steel RHS 50mm x 25mm posts provided structural integrity, while the brass elements added warmth and character. Notably, the handrails were designed to develop a rich bronze patina over time, adding to the venue’s timeless allure.

Bathroom Vanity Brass Details

Brass flat bar pieces were meticulously fixed to the vanity edges, adding a subtle touch of luxury to the restroom facilities. Additionally, we added brass flat bar pieces to the bathroom vanities, enhancing the elegance and cohesion of the space.
